The Story Behind Reign & Roar

Reign & Roar was founded from lived experience — shaped by love, trauma, and the quiet strength required to keep going after profound loss.

The name holds deep personal meaning. Reign is my daughter’s middle name, chosen for what it represents: strength, leadership, and perseverance — the ability to rise, even when life feels overwhelming. Roar represents the voice and resilience forged through trauma — the courage to speak, to advocate, and to refuse silence when it would be easier to disappear.

After the birth of my healthy, full-term son, Jaxson, a series of failures in care and communication led to a devastating outcome. He lived for five hours, and I never had the opportunity to see him during that time. The trauma of that experience did not end with grief — it altered my sense of safety, trust, and understanding of how deeply lives are affected when systems fail the people they are meant to protect.

Just three days after he passed away, I received my acceptance into Medical University of South Carolina’s accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

In the midst of shock and loss, that moment felt impossible — and yet unmistakable. What could have been the end of everything became the beginning of a calling. Grief did not disappear, but purpose began to take shape. It felt as though fate had placed me exactly where I needed to be — learning how to care for, protect, and advocate for the smallest and most vulnerable lives.

Trauma changes you. It lives in the body, in memory, and in the spaces where trust once existed. But it can also clarify what matters most. It reveals how many families are navigating life-altering experiences without adequate support, understanding, or voice.

Reign & Roar was born from that clarity.

After years working in healthcare and caregiving spaces, witnessing both extraordinary compassion and serious gaps, it became clear that innovation needed to be more human. Families needed tools that acknowledged emotional impact, not just clinical outcomes. People needed systems designed with empathy, transparency, and accountability — not afterthoughts.

Every project under Reign & Roar is created through a trauma-informed lens, rooted in respect for the people behind every experience. Whether through technology, education, creative work, or community initiatives, the mission remains the same: to support healing, amplify advocacy, and build what should have existed when it mattered most.

Reign & Roar exists to honor loss, protect life, and ensure that no one feels unseen in the moments that change them forever.

Reign & Roar also leaves room for joy. Alongside advocacy and support-driven tools, the brand embraces creativity and lighthearted innovation — apps and projects designed simply to bring moments of ease, curiosity, and fun. Because healing is not only about carrying what’s heavy, but also about remembering how to breathe, laugh, and play again.
